Are you ready to get your own website?
We’re here to help. We’re here to provide all the information you need to get your website up and running from the ground up. The following guide is not the only route to getting a website setup, but in our experience, its quite possibly the easiest and most cost-effective route.
Step 1 – Get hosted
Websites are hosted, meaning that the information which encompasses a website is served to the public from a host computer(s). To make things easy, we’re going to limit our guide here to getting a web-hosting service such as the very reliable Hostmonster, which we use to host all our websites.
Step 2 – Install a CMS
This step is not completely necessary, but installing a content management system makes setting up and making changes to a website a complete breeze. Fortunately, there is a surplus of such software available for free and the hosting service Hostmonster, which we’ll be referring to throughout this site, provides the simplest means of installing such software.
Step 4 – Customize
Login to your new administration interface and make whatever changes you feel are necessary. You can change the name and slogan of the site, change the theme, add in your own header graphic or even alter other graphics or build other sections into your new site.
That’s It!
By now, your website should be setup and ready for the public. But we won’t stop our guide there. Here on this website, we’ll be continually providing resources and information to aid in making useful and necessary adjustments to your own site.
